My Favourite Glow Getters

Hey Beauties!

To dew or not to dew that is the question! Everyone knows that I’m a massive fan of dewy skin, I just love the way skin looks when there is a glow to it. There are so many benefits of dewy skin, 1 – it makes you look youthful if you look at magazines everyone’s all dewy and glowy it’s no coincidence they look like that, 2 – Dewy skin reflects light it softens any fine lines and imperfections …I really could go on ha ha

Above are my top 5 favourite products that will give you that gorgeous glow.

Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in Aura – £19

This is a relatively new product for me, I’ve never really used the After Glow products by Urban Decay before but I’m actually really enjoying using them. Urban Decay Afterglow is a finely milled, lightweight and luxurious highlighter with a super-soft, creamy texture. Aura is an iridescent pale pink which add this gorgeous glow to the skin. It actually reminds me of High Beam from Benefit but rather than a cream this is a powder version of it.

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop – £32.00

Champagne Pop has to be one of my most favourite highlighters ever!, It’s always been hard to find a good highlighter that isn’t glittery or too chunky in texture and I think I might have found it with the Shimmering Skin Perfectors. Champagne Pop is a super soft highlighter that lends backlit lustre without any trace of tell-tale glitter. Think of it as a Instagram filter for everyday life, this looks stunning when dusted upon the high points of your face, and the warm undertones help to counteract dullness and neutralise any sallow/ashy tones for skin that glows.

Benefit Cosmetics High Beam – £19.50

Benefit High Beam is a cult classic. Everyone has used it at once in their lives, whether you love it or hate it you can’t deny that it’s here to stay. High Beam dubbed “Supermodel in a bottle” is a satiny pink liquid highlighter that can be applied to the cheeks, nose, brow bone etc. You can also wear this under makeup for a subtle glow but I wouldn’t recommend that because you don’t want to be too shimmery as this is quite a pearlised product.

Illamasqua Radiance Veil – £32.00

Illamasqua Radiance Veil is a product that can be use all over the skin as a primer of sorts. Radiance Veil is golden pearl based product that is part illuminator part primer. As I said this can be used all of the skin but I would personally use it in targeted areas like the cheek bones, down the nose, on the chin anywhere that the light would naturally hit. You could use this all over your face but you have to make sure that you buff this into your skin really well. Every time that I have used this I’ve noticed that it looks crazy when you put it on at first but once you buff it in and put your foundation on  top it starts to sink in and merge with the foundation leaving your skin really luminous.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm Hypnotic – £5.00

Last but not least is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm in Hypnotic which is a golden shimmer. I really like the texture of this product as I haven’t really seen a balm type product for the cheeks before. Ultra Strobe Balm can be applied dry or wet – meaning that you can sheer it down with a damp beauty blender if you don’t want such a bright highlight. The only problem I have with this is that it doesn’t set it just says really creamy on the skin so you run the risk of either rubbing it off or it just coming off itself.
