Freedom Makeup Black Arts Pro Artist Pad Review

Freedom Makeup Black Arts Pro Artist Pad Review

Hey Beauties!

First of all, sorry for the lack of posting lately, ive just trying to balance college with work and regular life stuff you know how it is.

Freedom Makeup is an offshoot brand from Makeup Revolution, just think of Freedom Makeup as a more affordable professional range without the massive price tag of a professional brand. I absolutely love the fact that there are brands out there these days that produce high quality products for a fraction of the price of their luxury counterparts.

Freedom Makeup Black Arts Palette Review

I’ve been meaning to pick up the Freedom Makeup Black Arts Pro Artist Pad for a while now as i kept seeing it in Superdrug and i would always see reviews online of it. I was really surprised at how pigmented these shadows, they reminded me of the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette they had that same texture, really creamy and so easy to blend.

In the Freedom Makeup Black Arts Pro Artist Pad you will find a mix of some matte, satin, metallic and shimmery eyeshadows. This is definitely what i would class as a neutral palette leaning more towards warm colours than cool colours even though there are few in this palette.

If you have oily lids i would suggest using a primer to help with oil control this way you’ll get the most out the shadows without creasing.

I swatched a few of my favourite colours as I of course couldn’t swatch all 48 colours as we would be here all day! In the first image we have some of the shimmery shades, these contain little bits of glitter which surprisingly don’t fall away after applying. In the second image these are some of the satin/metallic shades, I am in love with the rusty orange colour it would make the perfect blending colour if you were doing a smokey eye and finally in the last image I picked a selection of the matte colours. I was particularly impressed with the black on the end it is insanely pigmented but as well as that it doesn’t seem to go a washed out grey when blended out as i find that happens with a lot of colours.

I dont know if its just me but does the packaging remind anyone else of an iPad? all i all it does look pretty awesome but in the way of protecting the product it does leave a little to be desired. For an everyday person i dont think the packaging would pose a problem because its kept in the one place where as for a makeup artist i would be a little worried at how well this would hold up being transported about from place to place.

You can find the Freedom Makeup Black Arts Pro Artist Pad in Superdrug or online at for £15* but usually superdrug has a 3 for 2 offer on so you could try and get it when its on offer and it would be cheaper for you but all in all for 48 highly pigmented colours, £15 seems like a good deal to me.
