The Smashbox Full Exposure Palette is one of my go to palettes it has everything you could ever need in one place and dare i say its better than the naked palette! My first impression were that it was a great palette but wasn’t expecting much as there are a lot of new neutral palette releases these days and i didn’t think this would be any different but i was wrong!
Colour and Pigmentation
This palette really surprised me in terms of pigmentation and colour i thought it would be just another neutral palette but its safe to say i was pleasantly surprised. The Full Exposure palette contains 14 different neutral colours, the top row being eyeshadows that are shimmery and have a slight glitter to them and the bottom row containing velvet matte shades. As i said before in my opinion this palette is far better than the Naked Palette series as they only contains 1 or 2 matte shades but this palette contains both shimmer and matte in a range of shades and undertones not to mention they are all reasonably pigmented with no fall down when applying
Another thing that really impressed me was the wear time of these shadows i found the matte shades to be very long lasting considering the soft butter like formula and the shimmery shades look great over the matte shades so they last well in that respect too, applying a primer before hand will make the shadows last longer which would be great for those of you who find your eyeshadows start to crease as the day/night goes on
Im on the fence about the packaging it does close using on magnets although the box is cardboard it doesn’t look cheap and certainly doesn’t feel cheap either. The only thing that annoys me is that it has a rubberised outer finish so it gets dirty really easy and its hard to keep clean.
I like that it has quite a large mirror inside and comes with this duo sided shading/blending brush that works really well with the shadows. I would say the brush is quite similar to a blend of the MAC 217 and the 224. It also comes with a mini of the Full Exposure Mascara which i have no complaints on, it doesn’t flake which is always good
