Save or Splurge: Real Techniques 301 Bold Metals vs Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals …

Hey Beauties! I feel like its been so long since i have done a Save or Splurge post. When i was in superdrug recently I found out that the Real Techniques 301 Bold Metals and the Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals Contour Brush look pretty much the same…..but do they perform the same? Both brushes are what is called a flat top contour brush, these basically give you a really defined contour because the brush itself is really densely packed. I like the fact that both look very high end and feel very luxe in the hand i do feel the Real Techniques…

Save or Splurge – Real Techniques VS Beauty Blender

Hey Beauties! Let’s get one thing out there…I love a good makeup sponge and,  no I’m not talking about the makeup sponge of old,  I’m talking about the new type of sponges like your Beauty Blenders and Real Techniques. Now, a lot of people have used both types, but which is the best?  Fortunately I have 2 of such sponges here – I’m going to be comparing the Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge and the Beauty Blender Micro Mini. Both are of the same shape and size but there are a few differences which I will talk about in…

Smashbox Contour Palette vs New Look Contour Palette

Hey Beauties! I know i haven’t done one of these posts in ages but i think I’ve found the perfect products to compare. If you didn’t know you would probably think they were the same product, I actually never meant to find this product i just came upon it one day when i was in New Look and i had a light bulb moment that it looked so much like the Smashbox Contour Palette. First, we have the inexpensive option Pure Colour Contour Palette, which is only £5.99 from New Look and to be honest, I really can’t see much difference…

Benefit Fakeup Dupe? – Makeup Revolution The One Concealer

Hey Beauties! Lately everyone has been going crazy over this relatively new brand “Makeup Revolution” and i can see why. They offer affordable products and are really great quality i’ve tried a few things so far and have been really impressed. The Makeup Revolution The One Concealer has a concealer core with a hydrating ring just like the Benefit Fakeup but its a little smaller than Fakeup. I find that the One Concealer is a bit more hydrating because the ring is bigger so its perfect for those of you with dry skin whereas fakeup contains a larger concealer core…

Save or Splurge – Illamasqua Matte Lip Liquid vs MUA Luxe Velvet Lip …

I have not done one of these posts in so long now i thought it might be time to do another Save or Splurge post. The first thing i want to say is this post is not a colour dupe post its more of a product dupe post in terms of Matte liquid lipsticks. So to get started im actually rather surprised at the quality of the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer because if you saw my review of the Illamasqua Matte Lip Liquid* i talked about how i was sceptical i mean another matte liquid lipstick how good can it…

Save or Splurge Eyeliners- NARS and 2True

Hey Beauties! Since i have been getting a lot of feedback on these types of posts i thought i would do them more often for you. I find 2 great products for this post, the NARS Larger than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Santa Monica Blvd and the 2True Twist n’ Line Eye Definer in Pure White* The NARS Larger than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Santa Monica Blvd is your basic white eyeliner but for me the selling point was the fact this eyeliner was long wearing and was smooth when you apply it. I have used it on…

Maybelline Brow Drama vs Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper (Save or Splurge)

Hey Beauties! I thought i would do another Splurge or Save post today one quite a new product that i have came to love. Above we have the new Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara which is just like a clear brow gel but these are tinted to match the brow hair, i have Medium Brown and Dark Brown these are just brushed into the brows lightly to fill in any gaps in the hairs and to also sculpt the brows into a specific shape then we have the Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper which is used in the exact…

Save or Splurge- Sleek Pout Paints and OCC Lip Tars

Hey Beauties! I thought i would do a comparison post since i haven’t done one of these in a while. I am going to compare 2 quite similar products one being from the drugstore and the other higher end. The Sleek MakeUP Pout Paints are an intensely pigmented Glossy stain why an almost creamy texture which are from Superdrug although don’t let the fact its from a drugstore fool you these do a pretty good job at being a lower end version of the lip tars They come in a variety of different colours from reds, peaches, oranges and even…

Save or Splurge- MAC 195 and Daler Rowney 10

Hey Beauties! I thought i would do another post on affordable dupes, I was in hobbycraft recently ((its like Michaels or Hobbylobby in the US )) anyway I found this awesome brush that really looked like the MAC 195 Concealer Brush so I had to buy it and show you guys. I first found out about Daler Rowney because of a brush Alex Box used in a behind the scenes video and i had to have it, to be honest i think its better than my Chanel Liner brush ((You can see the comparison here)) I really like how they both feel…

Save or Splurge- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner vs.Maybelline Eye Studio® …

Hey Beauties, I thought I might do a comparison post today on the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner vs. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner I like both of these gel liners but personally I find myself reaching for the Maybelline rather than the Bobbi Brown one- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner-(£16.50) is a cult makeup product if you haven’t tried it you have to try it. This liner is really like an almost jelly consistency. It has as the product says a long wearing formula  its smooth and ultra-pigmented. I have also found that using it on myself and models that its great on…
